Bittersweet is One Word for a Reason

I have been tracking the announcements of people online who have publicly “killed their darlings” — a.k.a walked away from major career projects in order to make space for their own evolutions.

If you read enough of them, you will start to notice a specific word as a common thread: bittersweet.

There's no other word that more perfectly captures the emotional truth of standing at the end of one chapter and the start of a new one that is yet to be written. 

You can't Sunset without learning how to hold space for the contrasting emotions contained within that single word.
